In the last episode of season 3 of the anime A certain magical index, Accelerator who is an esper turned into an angel.

Accelerator is not only the strongest Esper in Academy City. He's the strongest ANGEL in the whole entire UNIVERSE. Touma is definitely NOT stronger than Accelerator. The only reason why he beat him was because Imagine Breaker can negate Vector Control, NOT that it is stronger than it.

Touma defeats Accelerator. Accelerator is later seen in another fight against Misaka 10032, where he tells her that he wants to gain a status that is beyond simply being the strongest in Academy City - he wants to attain Level 6, so that challenging him would be an unimaginable thought- even a sin.

Touma is split into two dragons.

Touma's ability is Imagine Breaker ("Illusion Killer"), an ability which negates all supernatural powers, including the effects of magical, psychic, and divine powers (which may also include his good luck and God's blessing according to Index).

Accelerator has demonstrated the ability to use magic. In volume 22, he used his vector ability to interpret the song used by Index to save Last Order and repeated the breathing method, casting the spell.

After a couple of banters, the two clashed once again. Accelerator defeats Kakine Teitoku, taking control of his white wings and stabbing him with it.

Accelerator discovers how to create plasma using his powers. With the aid of Mikoto and the clones, Touma is able to defeat Accelerator.
